Understanding your analytics dashboard
The analytics dashboard shows you how visitors are moving through your funnel — how many are starting, where they drop off, and how many complete it and become leads. This guide explains each metric and how to act on it.
Opening the analytics dashboard
Go to Analytics in the left navigation. By default, you see data for all funnels combined. Use the Funnel dropdown to filter to a single funnel.
The date range defaults to the last 30 days. Use the range picker to view any period you need.
Key metrics
Views
The number of times your funnel was loaded in a browser. A single visitor who refreshes the page counts as two views. Views tell you whether your embed is receiving traffic — if views are low, the problem is likely placement on the page rather than the funnel itself.
Starts
The number of visitors who interacted with the first question. A view that does not become a start usually means the visitor left before the funnel caught their attention.
Start rate = Starts / Views
A start rate below 30% often points to a funnel that loads too far down the page, or an opening question that does not resonate with visitors.
Completions
The number of visitors who submitted the lead form. This is the core conversion metric.
Completion rate = Completions / Starts
A completion rate of 50–70% is healthy for a well-optimised funnel. Below 40% usually means the funnel is too long, the questions feel intrusive, or the value of the result is not clear enough.
Leads
The number of contacts saved to your dashboard. In most cases this matches completions. The only difference arises when a submission fails validation (e.g. an invalid email format).
Drop-off by question
The Question breakdown section shows how many visitors reached each question and how many continued past it. High drop-off on a specific question is a signal to simplify or rephrase it.
Drop-off on the last question before the lead form is common — visitors hesitate before sharing contact details. A short reassurance note (e.g. "No spam, ever.") on that step can improve completions noticeably.
Comparing funnels
If you have multiple funnels, the summary table on the main analytics page lets you compare views, starts, completions, and completion rates side by side.
Exporting data
Click Export CSV on any analytics view to download the raw data for the selected period. The export includes one row per day with views, starts, completions, and leads.
Troubleshooting
My funnel has views but zero starts. The funnel is loading but visitors are not interacting with it. Check that the funnel is visible without scrolling on the page where it is embedded, and that the opening question is clear and relevant.
The analytics show a high completion rate but I am not receiving leads. Check your notification email settings. Leads are saved to your dashboard regardless of whether notification emails are configured — go to Leads and confirm they are appearing there.
Data seems delayed. Analytics data updates every few minutes. If you have just published a funnel or made changes, wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
